It's my favorite boxing game outside of Punchout. From the creators of Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing This game is so much fun.
In this game you can play exhibition, career or tournament. You can create up to 2 custom fighters and edit their skin tone, their face, their hair style and color, their height and their name.
Tournament Mode you must chose from 1 of the 8 legends in the game Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, Evander Holyfield, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, and Floyd Patterson and win your way to the winners circle.
in career mode as you go though the ranks you train to make your fighter better.
As you get better and move up the ranks you eventually will face the # 1 rank, the Champion fictional Mike Dixon. Defeat Dixon and you will be challenged by each of the 8 legends. Beat them and you will be called the Greatest Heavyweight.
So much realism like trash talking with the legends not voiced by them since some of them are dead even but they do say real phrases like Holyfield: "It's Hammer time", Ali: "Ooh I'm So Pretty and I'm the greatest of all time", Frazier: "You aint got nothing sucka" as well as ring announcing by Michael Buffer (not his actual voice sadly however) and round girls
as the matches go on you can cut your opponent in various places and it will effect them in the match. Get a knockout or TKO and you will be the winner.
I recommend this game to all boxing fans or anyone looking for a fun game to play on the Sega Genesis.
