For those too lazy to read... WWE 13's Attitude Era section is apparently causing some trouble on the music front as some of the songs not done inhouse by WWE have changed hands in ownership. So now THQ has to hunt down the new owners and attempt to acquire the songs or else change them and possibly deal with backlash over it.
...
I find this a bit ridiculous. If people are bitching, it's gonna be far more over the gameplay, etc. than it will be about some switched music. Don't they know we as fans already deal with this on DVD releases?
Plus, can't they just leave their theme music blank and editable? Burnt CD. Problem solved.
“pyoobez: @mslayel do you fancy spotted dick?” I actually love that with custard Yummy :/)
The MaDaBa
ANONYMOUS GENERAL MANAGER Yes, we let MaDaBa in. You know who we blame? YOU! Yes, YOU, the public! Especially you, DARRYL!
"TAAANK!" Bill screamed, his nipples erect. A hot Molotov throbbed in his hand."
This shouldn't be a problem for the 360 - we can already take songs on a CD and transfer them to a 360's hard drive, so just make new Jim Johnson Jeneric songs for these guys, make it so that every wrestler's song can be changed at the player's leisure and we'll just fill in the blanks ourselves without having to worry about royalties.
Problem sol-ved.
Why? Because I can.

Clearly you haven't been to any WWE games message boards, those morons would definitely make a huge deal over entrance themes.
Frankly I almost feel bad for the WWE games team because they try to include the fans in the process but a good 70% of what they get is a bunch of moronic criticism.

I usually watch the entrances because THQ actually does a decent job with them and when I play matches I like the realistic feeling of the entrances. Like pyoobez said, make the themes editable but instead of leaving it blank make it in house music but you have the option to make it whatever you want on a burnt CD. If you want Hips don't Lie to be the opening to RAW, they should let you with the editable tracks with music from a burnt CD.

It IS Nice when they have the correct themes, look at some of the shit Wrestlemania X-8 on GC tried to pass off since they didn't get the right to some themes:

my real question is who are the guys still playing this on PS2 and Wii?
Seriously, PS3 or 360 for these games for the full editing.
I mean we can already upload MP3 files into the systems that can be used to change the entrance themes in the game, basically making this whole thing not a big deal.
Downloading themes takes up harddrive space though.
But the only time a theme being wrong really irked me was when THQ released a Biker Taker in SvR11, and he had the deadman Taker theme and entrance moves. That was just pure laziness. Not only did they release a costume as a new character they didn't even make it any different than the in-game version.

Lots of people still have PS2 who are a mix of casual and big gamers. It has longevity and a huge library. Plus the new PS3 slims aren't backwards and people still want to play their PS2 and PS1 games.
As for the Wii version I can't believe it sells many but to really young kids.
With the PS3 Plus you have cloud space you could use that for music...but again you pay extra for that.

I played WWE on PS2 right up thru SvR2011 but I broke down and bought it cheap on PS3 later when I finally bought one. As for the Wii, I like Zelda and Mario but yeah, not much else in my Wii library aside from Mario Party 8&9 but both were NOT great and after 8 I shouldve known about 9 especially when I saw how you navigate the board as a group. Not bad, but not great. Mario Party 6 is the best in that series and Egad's level is the best board of the series!

Yeah, this game pissed me right the hell off. The themes sucked, and at the moment I cannot recall my other gripes about it but I definitely first and FOREMOST recall that crappy "nWo" theme. Ugh... what a bunch of bullshit. James needs to add stuff like this to an episode of "You know what's bullshit?"!

The only issue I find with using custom soundtracks is that they tend to sound too loud, and drown out the other sounds.
Strange. Funny. Heartrending.
The more you think about it, the greater it will become.

That's because no game company has yet thought it might be a good idea to include the ability to level adjust individual tracks you use.
With the PS3 you can providing you change the levels on the songs prior to loading the game [press triangle when playing the song to bring up the options]
Guys, everyone is entitled to complain if they're paid 60 bucks for what usually feels like a glorified roster update. I don't complain about stuff like this - I usually find it funny. That Wrestlemania X8 Booker T theme made me laugh hard.
