The roster this year is well..... Okay. I'd rather just have them as alt. attires rather then a whole different person. Then again depending on the version of the character they will have separate stats so I am interested. Plus I'm guessing Attitude Era mode goes from 1996 - 1999?
But the problem with separate stats is, how is this useful? Is there REALLY somebody out there who wants a weaker Triple H, or a weaker Edge? And I doubt Undertaker's stats will change at all ... and if Foley's do, that's just insane ... so, we're back to asking how the separate stats are useful.
Jed Shaffer ~This is why the Stat Editor was invented. Hello, Daniel Bryan rating in the 90's, and hello, John Cena rating in the 80's.
Not exactly happy with a few character models, Zack Ryder's face being the most obvious for the moment and probably Beth Phoenix's hair second off the top of my head. But did it look like to anyone else that Billy Gunn's attire is missing all logos, words, etc... and is simply plain? Although yes, not a HUGE deal to some it is definitely a cosmetic annoyance!
And we better be able to completely remove any person we want from the WWE Universe Mode if there is one, and let any character be in it. I don't want Michael Cole in matches on Superstars and PPV for the US Title. I don't want unmasked Kane in season when I rather have masked Kane, or Attitude Era Rock instead of current Rock. Let me customize ALL rosters AS I SEE FIT! If I want almost everyone on Raw and 10 people on Smackdown, thats MY choice, let me do it! And let me have more creativity with existing wrestler attires. A few random things someone might want to do is form a Rock/Austin tag team and have Austin wear a Bull logo on his vest with the Skull still on the back or off if they so choose. Maybe I want to give Shamrock long blonde hair. Maybe I want Redhead Trish Stratus. Maybe I want DX in Red white and Blue, a Green Kane wearing a green Goldust attire with a cowboy hat and Ric Flair style robe with a Broski bandanna and high heels. Maybe Someone else wants to see Undertaker dressed as Kane, or have Taker in a red Devil-ish suit attire. Let us fully customize attires, ring names, etc... don't box us in!!!

Not gonna lie - I also thought some of the models looked funny. Then again, I'm not particularly impressed with the graphics in general.
I will say that as someone who grew up with the Attitude Era, I am excited about some of the characters that made the cut. I'm disappointed that older legends like Andre and Steamboat are MIA, but I gushed over Vader, Shamrock and Mike freaking Tyson.
"These bonus objectives give players something else to do during the matches; they recreate history and on top of that, all of the objectives are tied to unlockables. There are over 60 matches in the Attitude Era story, and every one of them has unlockables tied to them, from championship titles to arenas to alternate attires. We even have bonus matches as unlockables. Lots of cool stuff.”
I'm guessing DLC a plenty.
“pyoobez: @mslayel do you fancy spotted dick?” I actually love that with custard Yummy :/)
I have a feeling we're gonna get just attitude era pics we cant use and vids we can only watch and have seen 1000 times.
Here's to hoping we gfet some slightly different takes on some of the attitude era stuff, I don't just want to relive what happened as it was, I hope to see some stuff that happened but perrhaps some twists or other things that intertwine with it somehow. Hope that made sense.
Have they posted a full Billy Gunn entrance anywhere online yet? I am concerned about his attire and am wondering if they will even have his Ass Man theme.
If they don't have the "Ass Man" theme that would be so hilarious.
I figured they'd just give him the New Age Outlaws theme and let that be that, considering I saw nothing that resembled Mr Ass attire in the two second clip or less that we saw of him.

either that or they'd give him his 'one billy gunn' theme

Is anyone else concerned that the music is being too drowned out during entrances? (see Ryder's entrance for best example imo, and btw... I am nixing that entrance for him, I hate it. It's too silly for MY Zack Ryder. lol)

They need to study the NBA 2K12 commentary from Visual Concepts/2K Sports and fix the commentary, if they're gonna seriously have legends from another era. In my opinion, that is the holy grail of sports game commentary. I dont want to hear, "Back in the day, Steve Austin was tough." I want to hear actual stats, accomplishments, and how they had an influence
Really, the commentary in these Smackdown games over the last few years games has been terrible at best.

I don't know what the commentary was like in WWE '12 but 2011 was fucking HORRENDOUS. I can't even begin to count how many times Cole told me I was in different kinds of matches.
Tornado Tag Team ladder match? "We're about to get this Triple Threat Ladder Match underway!"
Single Match that had a run-in? "He's gonna need to make a tag to his partner soon or this is over!"
When I'm pinning the opponent: "What should The Rock be trying to do now, King?" "Well he should-" "2-3!" "-be trying to get his speed into play..."
Seriously? Goddamn. I don't mind the commentary being clunky. But how it would just burst into talking about stuff that wasn't even happening all the time pissed me off. I'd rather there wasn't any to begin with.

WCW Mayhem had decent commentary. I didn't mind the WWE '12 commentary.
I hope Attitude aspects are not watered down too much. The recent WWE videogames have been edgier than the actual WWE product with blood, head chair shot animations and various other things so maybeit will be ok.
If you buy stuff for your avatar you have way too much money.
Or just waste what they do have.
You can get points for free between Bing Rewards and XBox Live Rewards. It's still sort of a waste, but meh.
I bought a few from the first (2011) before the prices went up. Shirts used to be $1, hats 50 cents and props $2. Then Shirts became $3, outfits $4-5 and props $3.
From what I've seen though, they sold a ton of CM Punk shirts for either $3 or $4, so I guess they were happy with it.

Maybe this is just me...
...but, does anyone else hate when THQ takes liberties with the WWE set design? For example, WWE '13's vaunted "Attitude Era" mode is supposed to try and accurately recreate the look and flair of the WWE from 1997 until 2001... problem is, there's so many anachronisms and flat out errors that I find it a little difficult to get hyped up about it. Maybe they're just geek-ish nitpicks, but, for example... you look at the guardrails. Sure, they're the old metal rails from that era, but, then THQ goes and fucks it up by putting those "New Generation" banners all over them, which did not exist in reality.
Speaking of the "New Generation" logo, why do they go about editing it down to a WWE-style logo? I can see them using the WWE logo instead of the "WWF Attitude" logo, since, the legality of that particular situation is still pretty touchy, but the real "New WWF Generation" logo (like the one in my avatar), has been perfectly allowed to be used by WWE without penalty, so, why does THQ go and edit it anyway to make it into a WWE logo? Again, just takes you out of the moment.
And WWE '13 isn't THQ's only offender. In Legends of WrestleMania, as much as it was hyped up as accurately trying to recreate the look of past WrestleManias, a lot of them are flat-out wrong, as well... sticking big WrestleMania banners over the entranceway on some of the arenas or other artistic licenses similar to that taken. I mean, what's the point? If they're going to go to the trouble of recreating classic WWF arenas, then why wouldn't they try to make them as accurate as possible?
Like I said, maybe these are just geekish little nitpicks, and if they were few and far between, I'd probably overlook them. But, THQ has a history of doing it in their WWE games and it's become a recurring problem.

This has always been the case. Like...how hard could it possibly be to make outdoor stadia? It bugged the shit out of me that outdoor WrestleManias were portrayed in the games as being indoors.
Why? Because I can.
