Raw has been a vaaast improvement over the last few months. They set a main event, they hyped it up fantastically throughout the show and the delivered with a clean finish.
The first 3 hour Raw had a bazillion recaps but they are getting better pacing the show and I was wrong. I've been loving these few 3 hour Raws so far.
Except get rid of Jerry Lawler. You really suck when I can completely tolerate Cole and not you.

I thought 1,001 would have been a great show in the two hour format, and tonight would have been a good show. They're killing the product by making it 3 hours. I just felt obligated to watch it and feel like an informed wrestling fan. I enjoyed Punk/Rey, Sandow beating down Brodus, and Cena/Bryan (plus Punk ripping on Lawler afterwards). The vast majority of the three hours was just there.

To me, the big difference is Cole and Lawler actually calling the action instead of bickering. Makes a huge difference.

seems they are having longer matches and we are getting more storylines and development.
So far, so good.

Fewer recaps this time around, so hopefully, the matches will have more time to develop.

I've been enjoying it myself. Some good storylines, Punks new gimmick is fresh and yeah - less recaps last night.

Aside from the main event and Rey vs. Punk, I thought last night's RAW was horrible. It's a total chore to sit through for 3 hours.

I'm usually a whiny bitch about the shows, but besides the length just being too long for me to go through in one sitting, I've been liking Raw too.

I agree that Lawler is horrible. I never really noticed that much until a few episodes ago. Now I know what everyone's been complaining about. I always laugh at the inevitable "Lawler's drunk" post in the Raw thread but now I get it.
My biggest problem is AJ's almost deliberate overacting and her complete inability to stand still and keep her head straight while talking. It's painful to watch. She wouldn't be that bad of a GM if she acted more natural and didn't almost give herself whiplash at a moments notice.

Are there more commercials (per hour), or does it just seem like it?

It still feels the same to me when it was RAW "supershow" just an hour longer and much, much more filler like recaps. Plus the whole social networking thing on RAW now-a-days is just so forced and annoying and the theme song sounds like the guy isn't even fucking trying. But CM Punk's slow turn and super pissed off Daniel Bryan is keeping me watching.

I've been liking the show. We get a really good match each week, so I'm happy.
The only downsides are the announcing (but that's been going on for a LONG time) and the fact that AJ acts like a heel GM (using her power to settle vendettas) but we're supposed to cheer her because she's cute. Stupid parts of an otherwise good show.
