I'm all for protecting kids and all from violence but that is too over-the-top. It's not the 1970's where kids don't know wrestling is fake and every child knows wrestling is fake. If a parent does not tell their child that wrestling is fake then they shouldn't watch it. But most parents do tell their children thankfully and they realize it's all staged and they're not actually trying to hurt each other. So why do you need to do that if the demograph you're targeting KNOWS your product is not "real?"

I don't know, some parents might think it's cute for their kids to believe its real like with Santa Clause and don't want to break the illusion. Still simulated violence is simulated violence, so I don't get the no neck moves thing.

I am learning to be a softball umpire with a kid aged 11 and he knows it's all 'fake'. it's not too hard to figure out but I do agree with matches with less head damage being aired at that time

If I have kids and they get into wrestling at an early age, I'll just let them figure it out on their own. I think it would be better for them to figure it out on their own than to just say this shit is fake to their face. It requires critical thinking to figure it out on you own and I would like to encourage that in any potential future offspring.

Thing is, though, knowing it's fake only leads - as I recall - to kids thinking 'oh, we can piledrive each other all day and be none the worse for wear - wrestling is fake, after all!'. Only, y'know, probably not so eloquent. Anyway, it gives the idea that moves don't have consequences. I doubt I'd have been trying to do hurricanranas when I was 13 or so if I'd thought wrestling was real. So maybe stopping them seeing the moves that - if they try them on each other - could really do serious damage might not be a bad idea.

I see no problem with this. Just trying to get on top of the brush fire that will inevitably be started by some activist group before it starts it seems.
