I was watching some random wrestling videos and came across a weird coincidence.
During the post NWO Silver & Black reunion episode of Nitro in late 99, The Revolution were cutting a promo on the Filthy Animals and Jim Duggan. Perry Saturn makes a joke about Fred Flintstone always trying to put the oversized rack of ribs on top of his car and it tilting over.
A couple videos later, I'm watching an episode of WCW Saturday Night from 93 or 94. In a post match promo, after Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne defeat The Sheik and Bob Cook, Cactus makes almost the exact same joke about Fred and the oversized rack of ribs.
What are the odds of that?
Another thing I'd like to bring up. Nash recently claimed in an interview, and did last year in a Legends of the Roundtable discussion about the NWO, that Goldberg was supposed to rebound from his defeat at the hands of Nash at Starrcade 98, and overcome the Fingerpoke of Doom incident, by taking out all the NWO and getting his belt back, but he didn't because he injured his hand attacking a limo.
I think, if I'm not mistaken, that Nash is either lying or getting his facts wrong. On this same episode of Nitro that Saturn makes the ribs joke, Vince Russo has left his office and is hiding in the white limo. I forgot to watch the rest of this episode of Nitro, but I'm almost certain that this is the night that Goldberg severely injures his hand attacking Russo's limo, not Bischoff's.
This was about a year after Starrcade 98. It being the episode of Thunder right after Starrcade 99.
Goldberg didn't get injured after the fingerpoke of doom episode of Nitro. So, what's their real excuse for burying Goldberg during the rest of 99, and not letting him get his heat back on the NWO Elite. The NWO Elite reunion is different from the NWO Silver & Black.
Am I wrong on this, guys?
