I love how there's advice for kids in the event of bullies (go to an adult), but when an adult themselves is getting bullied, they're supposed to just laugh it off.

"Yes, kids take my word for it. I am an expert on this subject. Nobody knows more about burying bullying than I do." added Triple H.

I love how there's advice for kids in the event of bullies (go to an adult), but when an adult themselves is getting bullied, they're supposed to just laugh it off. It all depends on the situation. I believe no matter what age you're at you should attempt to do something. If doing something does not work then you're going to have to laugh it off. But people are more concerned with kids getting bullied because when bullied as a kid it fucks you up for a long time like it did for me. I'm 17 years old and it still pains me when I think of the alienation and teasing I had when I was an 8 year old or a 12 year old. The same thing can happen with adults but it all depends on the situation. If your solutions don't work, then you must laugh it off plain and simple.

Double standards for adults and children. We see children as innocent so bullying with them is more shocking. With adults it's considered a playful work thing and you're uptight if you react against it.
I'm sure Triple H, with both his physical size and presence in the company, has bullied people. That whole story about CarterSeanton talking about the wrestlers cheering on a bum fight made me realize they are people at the end of the day, away from the slick photo-ops of the Be a STAR campaign, with all the good and bad associated with that.

It depends on how it's done. I crack jokes at friends expense all the time....and I fully expect them to do it right back. If it's done just to be mean and hurt peoples feelings, that's a dick move. The thing is, as an adult, you're expected to be able to handle your own shit, and not need to run to someone else to resolve your problems.

Sometimes at work though bullying becomes an insititution though. I love to fuck with my friends though. It's a fun game of one-upsmanship.

The thing is, there really is such a thing as adult bullying, far beyond friendly ribbing and such, especially in corporate groups like the WWE. Its one of those things that recieves a lot of mockery, like female on male domestic abuse, so most victims dont come out with it, but its a serious problem.

Because Bully Ray managed to get his career back on track and be as entertaining and hard working as he has never been while Trips keeps on burying people (cough... Summer of Punk... cough) just because he can?

Unless D) Bully grows up to become a regular person with a relatively successfull life, forgets he ever bullied you, and then dont understand why you greet him with barely restrained hostility ten years later. Oh, and then there's E) Bully remains a fucking asshole, but still becomes more successfull in life, because thats life and it fucking sucks until you get so sick of the whole thing you go on a rampage in a mall with a pipe gun.

Or unless F. Bully learns from his/her errors, straightens his/her act together and admits he/she was wrong, either tells others not to do what he/she did. G. Finds religion, either uses it to feel better about himself/herself, or just does to admit they were wrong and wants nothing more but to make peace with those he/she bullied. H. Goes to see a psychiatrist to figure out what is wrong and where the anger, bullying and violence began.

Well to be fair, he has managed to mend fences with a fair amount of people, and by all accounts really has changed for the better. If Bret Hart can manage to call him a friend and let bygones be bygones, I'd say it's legit and much more of a change of heart than "I LIKE JESUS!"
