Now, I didn't feel like bumping my old thread on it, but for those that remember... I bailed on the one joke I posted and worked on some other material. I know I do have a few things I can work on but i think overall I did pretty solid for a first try. I know we have some other comedians on here, so don't tear my TOTALLY to pieces.

not bad for your first time. You seemed overly nervous at times but that's understandable. You're best joke IMO was the wheelchair on the bus stuff especially how even the other wheel chair guys hate wheel chair guy. Maybe extend that for your next set.
If you can reply to this, you're smarter than me for still being here. I had so many second chances that they became third and fourth chances. And what did I learn from them? NOTHING!
Please don't be a halfwit like I was. It won't help my cause much because I won't know where to respond to. Thank you.

Actually I wasn't really nervous, it was more a lot of adrenaline because I was excited and having a lot of fun. I am working on some stuff to add onto the bus one actually.

yeah I could see it being adrenaline as well. I think your porn joke has a lot of potential, just needs some work.

The pacing needs some work.. okay lots of work. There was no real rhythm to the set. With as fast as you are going, you need to do less set up and just fire off joke after joke.
Try this....
ANy bus riders in here? Everyone who rides the bus is a loser these days. I should know, I ride the bus.
And we all do that same thing on the bus. We go to two empty seats, get to the next stop and just pray *bow head - whisper loudly in mic* please God don't let this fucking loser sit next to me. I don't ask you for much, I mean I let you have my hand and fingers... so how about doing me a solid this time and don't let this guys sit next to me *The whole time you should stare like you are watching the guy walk down the isle*
I've always got the best way to stop people from sitting next to me *wave your arm with the missing hand* HEY BUDDY! SIT OVER HERE!!!! I'M NOT A FUCKING WEIRDO! Funny, no one will sit next to me after that.

I agree I need to get my timing down more, only thing that can fix that is practice honestly.. I was so amped up for my first set that it took a bit to hit my groove. Gonna be hitting up some open mics to nail down the material I have, and to test out new stuff I've been tinkering with since then.

I gotta say, I loved the Michael Phelps/Shark Week joke too. pretty good set overall, especially if you said it was your first time
You know what sucks? I came up with it as a fun throw away/topical joke and ended up really liking it, but it's so time specific that I don't know if I can retool it to make it into my normal rotation.
