After losing their first two games by a combined 60-0, the Hazleton Area Cougars (Northeast Pennsylvania) rebounded tonight by scoring their first 12 points of the season!
Of course the other team scored 49.
I am searching my fellow Class Of 2003 peoples for some people who didn't actually graduate to send them onto the field.

When I was a Freshman, our Freshman soccer team lost every single game, scoring only 4 goals all season. When I asked a classmate of mine who was on the team what the deal was, he only chuckled and said "Dude, no one cares. Not even the coach. Those 4 goals we scored I'm almost certain were on accident."

My HS experience: Every pep rally we were made to sit in on as if we gave a shit about the football team, and 9 times out of 10 the football team got theyre asses handed to them.
I think pep rallies are bad luck.

You're Class of 2003 as well? I graduated from Lewistown Area High School, home of the Lewistown Panthers who actually had a PARADE when they lost every game one season.
Being an alumnus of that school isn't exactly something that I brag about.

My senior year of high school we went into the last game 0 for 12 playing another team that was 0 for 12.
We dubbed the game, "The Loser Bowl"
We all got shitfaced before the game and had a great time. I think we won, but I don't remember.

My Freshman year, our football team lost to De La Salle (well we lost to De La Salle all four seasons I was there) but my freshman year, my friend and I made a bet that Maurice Jones Drew would/wouldn't score a TD the first time he touched the ball, I bet that he wouldn't. He ran the opening kickoff in for a TD, they then sat all of their starters and beat us 55-0 or something like that. I also lost $5.

My high school football team was pretty dec. It was my eight grade football team that sucked dick. We lost all five games by a decent margin, and nobody knew what the fuck they were doing half the time. The most celebratory moment was when a guy on defense got an interception and ran his ass to the endfield to score. All of the defense on the field went crazy and we all started hugging and shit.
I think we lost, like 40 to 7 or something.

When I was in school my friend was the running back and he ran up and down the field with ease, setting school and district records. But he was 5'4 so no one would give him a shot, so he ended up in D-3, got depressed because even then they didn't play him for 2 years and his grades went to shit and whatnot.

Being an alumnus of that school isn't exactly something that I brag about. I graduated in '01 from Indian Valley and pretty much every year both teams stunk. I went to just about every homecoming game as there was nothing else to do and there were delicious Lion's Club french fries and helium balloons to inhale. But it was funny seeing people get heated over the games when I've seen Midget League games with better teamwork and plays than any of the Lewistown-IV games I've witnessed. My friend was on the team and was actually chewed out at the big Lewistown-IV game in 2000 when he saw me and my other friends standing near the fence and started walking on his hands to the sideline. (Although after that, they'd occassionally utlize him in a cartwheel play, where he'd do a cartwheel off right tackle to try to confuse the defense for a play on the left side.)

My Freshman year the JV went undefeated and it was like they were awarded high school football team of the century. They even had Jackets made with the record and champions. The Varsity team always sucked.
The high school was always more about Girls Basketball and Wrestling which we always had a big winning record at. Everything else we sucked at.

That's just like my high school but without a wrestling team. Pretty much the only thing we're good at is Girl's Basketball. Everything else all the games are blowouts. My freshman year during a baseball game the boys lost 22 to 0.

Yeah we used to piss off the visiting teams sometimes at Girls Basketball games our junior and senior years.
If the team had a huge lead going into the 4th as the game was winding down with like 7 minutes left we would shake our car keys. A few times in rival games fights broke out.
Good times.

I was in softball team that didn't win a game for 3 YEARS. Often it was by 15 run or 10 run mercy. They wanted to be called the 3 ringed circus, I wanted to be called the 3 base circus... everyone else called us the 'mercy rules'
