I was listening to one of their tracks on my MP3 player earlier and a memory suddenly came back: I remembered how mega over they were since Appetite for Destruction came out in 1987. I remember being abroad in the Summer of '88 for a specialization course and the whole class sang Paradise City during breaks... a whole class of grown ups from different nations singing that anthem. Good times which made the terrible food at the mess hall more bearable. ;D

They were easily my favorite band in high school. Too bad they broke up in 1995 and never reunited. (I refuse to acknowledge the existance of the current day "Guns N' Roses")

I sorta despised how Axel acted like a toolbox over the Rock HOF. God imagine those fans getting some sort of a positive conclusion to that group by those guys putting aside their grudges and accept a well-earned induction?

But no.
But none of us know what happened between those people. Sure Axl has plenty of faults but I dont think Slash and the rest are blameless. As for the band those core albums (Appetite,Use Your Illusion 1 and 2) are awesome and its a shame they couldnt have done more.
...Yeah.
One day I had it all, the next day I didn't. Please be smarter than me and don't find yourself in this same situation. Actually be a proper human being for once!

If they could have held it together for at least a few more albums I feel they'd be considered on the same tier as all those idolized and worshipped 60s/70s rock acts.

One of those bands, if the drugs / alc. wasn't a factor, they would still be around today (10 to 1) original line-up and still making great music but sadly we are left with Axl's GNR and Slash's version with Myles Kennedy as the singer.
Honestly I prefer Slash's version, to me, it seems like Axl has lost his spark, imo
Proud to be a mark for the following:

-Rick Rude
-CM Punk

Greatest rock n' roll band ever. Ever. And i'm not counting the current Axl thing. It's kind of fitting in a way that they only released a few albums, they never descended into mediocrity and going through the motions, everything they did kicked ass and Appetite is the best rock album ever.
