I watched the first Pride and cringed. They were like "We have no rules and there are no rounds or time limits." So of course fights saw numerous rules infractions and at least one fight went three rounds to the time limit.

ya the first couple shows were bad but just feels funner to me watching this than the ufc for several reasons: 1.the ring it just feels more Prestigious that cage is just so boring i know they say it's more extreme but is isn't 2.the lighting and effects another thing i find that makes it look more Prestigious i hate how dark every ufc event has to be like it's in a back alley 3. the fans the pride fans seem to appreciate every aspect of the fight not just stand up you don't hear them boo every time they go to the ground 4.ground kicks and knees no need to explain

Fuel TV shows reruns of Pride all the time. The other day they showed like 10 hours of it.

they show best of pride and most of the fights they show are they're shortest fights and some they don't show most of the fights containing allot of kicks to the head they don't show including great ones like rampage vs. silva 1 and 2

I don't watch it that much. But that is mainly cause I am working my way through my backlog of unwatched DVDs.

it seems like ufc refuses to remember the history of mma outside of the ufc

my dad always did gay commentary when Pride was on
"Oh, oh jeez he's slipping it in, oh OH he's applied the lube!"
In a gay voice mind you

When Fuel first started showing UFC things they showed a couple of Pride events in their entirety. I remember watching the whole Nick Diaz/Takanori Gomi and Wandelei Silva/Dan Henderson 2 events. I used to record all the Best of Pride episodes as well, for the most part the ones I watched had the full fights but like you said they didn't show a lot of their more historical fights. Did see Mirko Cro Cop knock Alberto Del Rio out once though, twas awesome, even made funnier since Del Rio was wearing the Dos Caras mask. Here it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-dnNvIu_gc
