The only one who can change Scott is Scott. I guess being a wrestler is kind of like being a child actor: you'll stop drawing and you need a plan for after. The wrestlers that do the best in life know when they want to retire, and usually have a plan like starting a business. The ones who do the worst are the ones who scrape the bottom of the barrel for their old fame instead of moving on.
Hall IS very intelligent. He created Crow Sting and came up with a lot of nWo ideas. He'd be a great booker if he overcame his demons. A lot like Jake, actually.

I think in Hall's case what he really needs is someone to run his life for a while. That sounds kind of odd, but I'd rather he lose his ability to choose (for a while) than to die alone.

The fact that Hall is still hanging on makes me wonder if the news stories about him are exaggerated?
Sure, he has problems but he must be doing something right if he isn't already dead.
I often wondered this about Jake Roberts. The guy is supposed to be a hardcore alchoholic/crackhead and he hasn't changed his attitude since Beyond The Mat back in late 98? That's 14 years right there, not counting his years up to that point since the mid 80's of living on a steady diet of coke/crack and booze.
I wonder if it's part of his guilt trip and he wants to potray himself as the biggest loser piece of crap possible. 1986-2012 on a steady diet of drugs doesn't seem feaseable.

not sure about Hall but Jake is sober most of the time. he's on something at 4 out of 100 shows he does a year on average
If you can reply to this, you're smarter than me for still being here. I had so many second chances that they became third and fourth chances. And what did I learn from them? NOTHING!
Please don't be a halfwit like I was. It won't help my cause much because I won't know where to respond to. Thank you.

Given the fact that Hall has been struggling with his self-defence killing of another person all this time, I am still willing to give him leeway in my personal opinion of him. I cannot imagine the toll that might take on a person.
